While working for Seattle-based development company, Illuminage, I was tasked with giving the Oregon Health Care Association a new website to match their corporate-wide re-branding effort. The goals were to make the new site modern, responsively built and uniquely functioning given their content needs. To that end I designed the site using colors consistent with their identity style guidelines making sure their hot colors inform the user of either 1) where they are or 2) where to go next. For typography, Brandon Grotesque was used in Headers and Brandon Text for copy to make use of each of their style attributes and achieve a clean legible feel on screen.
I made sure the overall look and feel of the site had a modern style while always considering if the choice was inline with their target demographic’s needs of historical navigational ques.
Given their deep site architecture sub navigation on grand-child pages were designed to stick on-scroll on the left sidebar so the user always has navigational way finding within site.
Section landing pages were designed to make use of section-based calls-to-action that are easily editable by the client within the WordPress CMS.
